Biography

Kadir Öztoksoy works under the name K.O. is Love. Born in Frankfurt in 1984, he moved to Istanbul as a child — and somewhere between the two cities picked up the obsession that never left: making images.

He was headed for a law career. A chance encounter with an Iranian painter rerouted everything; the art classes meant to be a hobby became the plan.

He followed it across Europe and the United States before founding his own studio, HUNISTUDIO — built to work across both continents. Today he leads HUNi as its creative head, making campaigns for brands in Europe and North America and, under his own name, the fine art that argues with them.

Photography, film, advertising — commercial craft and personal work feeding each other. The industry has noticed: Effie and IPA recognition, a solo exhibition, a seat on award juries.

He shoots like a director and directs like a photographer. Obsessive about the frame, bored by the safe choice.
